Terms of Service

StoryTales lets you create personalized, AI-illustrated children's books (digital, with optional printed copies when offered). By creating an account you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be 18+.

Your account

Keep your credentials safe; you're responsible for activity under your account. One account per person. We may suspend accounts for abuse, fraud, non-payment, or unlawful content.

Tokens & plans

Books are generated using prepaid tokens (via subscription plans or top-ups). Tokens are a service credit, not money or a deposit — they have no cash value, are non-transferable, and can't be redeemed for cash. Tokens remain usable for at least 24 months from purchase. Prices are shown at checkout; we may change prices going forward, never retroactively. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record — their checkout terms apply to the payment itself.

Refunds & cancellations

Subscriptions: cancel anytime, effective end of the billing period. Unused-token refunds within 14 days of purchase if no generation was run on them. Printed books are custom-made goods: you may cancel until you approve the print proof; after printing begins, refunds only for defective or damaged copies (consistent with the Israeli Consumer Protection Law carve-out for custom goods).

Your content, your license to us

You keep ownership of what you upload (photos, names) and of your generated books for personal use. You grant us the limited license needed to process your inputs and deliver the service — nothing more. You confirm you have the right to upload any photo you provide (your own child, or with the guardian's permission).

AI-generated content

Stories and illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence. They can contain mistakes, oddities, or imperfect likenesses. You review the book before finalizing (and before any print proof). We don't guarantee a particular artistic result; regeneration tools are provided instead.

Acceptable use

No uploading photos of children you're not responsible for; no unlawful, harassing, or infringing content; no attempts to extract models, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; no reselling generated books commercially without a separate agreement.

Our IP

The StoryTales software, brand, templates, and story frameworks are ours or our licensors'. Your personal-use rights to your books don't transfer any rights in the underlying service.

Availability & changes

We aim for a reliable service but don't promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and let you download your books.

Liability

To the extent the law allows: the service is provided "as is"; our total liability is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim; we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Indemnity

You'll cover claims arising from content you upload in breach of the sections above on content and acceptable use.

Governing law & disputes

Israeli law governs; exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo. Mandatory consumer protections of your home country remain unaffected where they legally apply.
